3 MAIN LEARNING METHOD 📚

UED102 - STUDY SKILLS

Hello there,

Once again, welcome to my blog. I have a question for you before I begin. Have you ever questioned why it's so difficult for you to comprehend what your teacher or boss is telling you? Is it your slow mental processing speed or an issue with the way you approach learning? Have you ever thought about how the wrong learning approach might impact your ongoing education, whether it be for school, work, or life? Let me now educate you on the three main categories of learning styles that people often possess. Auditory, visual, and tactile learning styles are the three types. Let's go over each one in detail.

First and foremost, what is an auditory learner? An auditory learner is someone who receives information by listening or speaking. In other words, they mostly use audio-related learning platforms. Because they prefer to hear instructions and, at times, verbally repeat them, they usually solidify the subject matter in their minds. When they have a problem with a text or a question, they can read it aloud or ask themselves the question repetitively until they have fully absorbed the information and comprehended the question. In short, they can use this method of learning in their daily lives, whether in education, career, or otherwise.

Furthermore, we have a visual learner, who frequently associates certain subjects, ideas, and tasks with images. They cannot fully comprehend information if only verbally instructed; they must observe and be shown images of the process or information, such as charts, symbols, or graphs. It's preferable if they watch a video with some explanation. They can process and understand it with a little help from audio. Also, when working in a group, they should watch a supervisor demonstrate rather than receive traditional instruction. People with a visual learning style are more likely to use their vision when learning something new in their lives.

Last but not least, we have a kinesthetic learner, also known as a doer or tactile learner. This type of learner prefers hands-on experience with practical application to reading and listening to fully comprehend because it simply does not work for them. They believe that doing it wrong and being chastised is preferable to simply learning the theory. Rather than watching others demonstrate a task or lecture, they tend to volunteer to do it themselves. To sum it all up, a kinesthetic learner is very active in class or while performing an outdoor task.
